I have super straight hair and my hair won't hold a curl to save my life? I have tried everything i can think of plus enough products to fill a pool with. Still the curls fall out of my hair within an hour or so. how can I get them to last all day long?

the key is to be able to wear the curlers longer than you have the curl stay. like one afternoon put your damp/just dry hair into foam curlers or pin curls and wear them all day and sleep on them. thats what it takes for me. there are products out there that will help your hair curl. i just dont use any products on my hair so i dont know much about them, but they are out there. also, ive found that if i do the above long term curler routine that usning no hair spray works best, the product weighs the curl down, keep them light!

Some people will always have a hard time with this I think. But they say that it is best to do styles like that on hair that isn't freshly cleaned. Like mine, if I straighten it I can't get it to hold a curl later to save my soul. A good but annoying option is to use a setting product, then curl with a curling iron and then pin the curls back up with bobby pins and let them completely cool before taking them out.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I will definietley try the thermal lotion as a friend of mine said to try as well. I guess I will have to do everything the night before and hope for the best the next day. Thanks again!

The best thing to do is spray setting lotion in your hair when it's wet and also something that will create a barrier between the heat and your hair because you don't want to fry your hair over time. Blow dry your hair and then curl it. Back in the day women used to use setting lotion and I still use it to this day, so does Dita Von Teese. Her hair is straight as an arrow and setting lotion is the only thing that works for her and many other women.

Do you have a Sally Beauty? That's where I get everything! Setting lotion is a very old school way to do your hair but it WORKS!
