Tell us about yourself and why you belong on PL.

This page is maintained by Bernie Dexter. I am a Rockabilly girl. Who loves the rockabilly lifestyle & rockabilly music. Basically your average girl next door. The one you pass by in the grocery store & on your way to the post office;) I am insecure, shy & super social at the same time. I call it nervously chatty. I do not like my page spammed. That really bothers me. I really hate mean people, fake people who use people & dislike snobs, thumb rings,gossip, fakes, users & net workers. I most of all despise people who use the rockabilly culture to further their careers. Rockabilly is a serious lifestyle choice for me. I LOVE the music. It is not just about fashion & modeling. It is celebrating the American culture from the 1940s & 1950s. Although it was not perfect time in American history there was a lot to love & distract from it's imperfectness... that is why i am glad to be a rockabilly girl now! I prefer to surround myself in real genuine human beings. I am very forgiving & understanding as i know i am not perfect myself. I love to model & lucky for me i have my very own on call 24/7 photographer. I love working with new & established designer's!! I draw inspiration from my own mother Sherry. She was a burlesque & go go dancer in the 60's & stripper in the 70's & 80s. I loved to see her transform from my familiar mom in to the beautiful glamorous mom. Still fascinated with her life back then to this very day. She could not step out the front door with out being whistled at!! My father is from the Philippine Islands. He moved to the U.S.A. in the 1950's when he joined the U.S. Navy. He was in the Navy till the 1980's when he retired. My favorite fashion icon is Linda Evangelista. she was the reason i cut my fringe (bangs) in 1994. I only started to model about 5 years ago. I have no secret to my personal success. I love to share my photos on the net & try to post something new frequently. sometimes 3 times in a day! I feel very lucky to have my career & never take one day for granted. My best advise to aspiring models is to be yourself & have fun! I find my best shoots are the unplanned free form ones. I go by my mood...hehehee... For anyone who had heard the rumor i am crazy? If being up front, honest,unwilling to be "used" or networked or compromise my self & beliefs in any way or when something is bothering me tell you to your face & bring to to your attention... I am guilty as charged!;) BTW~ I have removed any "Bettie Page"-related comments & photos from my myspace page because Bettie Page has sold the rights to her name & image. I have never claimed to be a Bettie look a like or impersonator. After all there is only ONE Bettie Page & only one of me;)
