- It was while I was was wandering the western US for a few months, crashing on sofas and generally freeloading off my friends, that I bought my first 'real' camera and lenses. I was up in Bozeman, Montana at the time, hanging with a cousin who likes gear a little too much, and he set me up. It was way more camera than I thought I would ever need, but it turns out I was wrong.
If ideal conditions exist, I've never met them. I've learned to make do with what's available and I'm always ready to experiment. It's terrifically gratifying when what I have in my head actually appears on the screen.
For a day job I program computers to make pretty Web sites or compelling applications. I am a writer, though it's unlikely you've read any of my fiction. That will be changing.
