At a weekender this weekend I met a lovely lady who is one of the founders of 'A Box Of...'. The company has three parts to it: 'A Box Of Burlesque', 'A Box Of Vintage' and 'A Box Of Delights'. I bought a steel-boned underbust corset for a mere £40…
I get around that buy 'borrowing' my nan's hehe! She was 6' tall before she shrank, with size 8 (UK) feet so I go and raid her wardrobe from time to time. It's that or I buy reproductions.

- I was brought up to appreciate this lifestyle from birth practically (yes the photos of me at my first car show as a nine month baby are ridiculously cute!). I have loved this scene my whole life, and hope that it never leaves me. I want to make it part of my career I hope, as I aspire to be a successful model. Yes, I am young, but it's such a dream of mine to be a great pin up.

It's getting exciting!
Today I got the amazing news that I have been chosen to work at 'Vintage @ Goodwood' this summer! Hopefully I will get a good task for the weekend involving lots of pretty dresses, but then I might get lumbered with collecting tickets at the gate! Oh well, it's all going to be good anyway!

What's to come in 2010
I think 2010 will be the most exciting but the most nerve wracking year of my life, but I am truly looking forward to it. My new year's revolution is to not give into society and be the person I want to be, not who they want me to be. So far, I've stuck to this by cutting my own Bettie Page inspired bangs in and buying a lush 1940's style jumper. Tiger Tiger said… - Yeah, I was much more into the Romans when I started out with the studying, but have been really into the Greeks since I was a kid, so it was nice to be able to study both. The MA was interesting, because other than looking at Classical Sparta I mainly focused on prehistoric Greece. My BA mainly focused on Prehistory of Europe (along side classics) so it was nice to focus more on Greece at that time.
I haven't seen the new series, but I've heard really amazing things about it, so I might have to buy it when I get the chance.
Yeah, I'm not much into Egypt either, never have been, but it's a lovely deptartment
The building is nice, I remember looking around it and being quite impressed.

- Oh, I did Classics too, then ended up doing my MA in Greek Archaeology and History.
Liverpool is a good school! It was one of my choices for undergrad, but I ended up going with Leicester as I prefered the scope of the course there. Don't know if they still do, but Liverpool used to offer some amazing Egyptology courses!

- Awesome! I love archaeology - I studied it at A Level, Degree and Master Degree level. I work in a Museum now, but it's mostly unrelated to my degrees. Let me know if you ever need help with your homework
